The realization is liberating.

She is shot, beaten, stabbed and strangled, each brutal murder filling him with a joy he never knew. He even fucks her limp corpse, finally blowing a load inside her, after years of her never in the mood. How long will this last? No one knows, but he’ll have something to occupy himself with for a long time.
